Havasu canyon is downriver from the Grand Canyon.  It is a native american territory and is not easily accessible.  Rough 4wd road or mule pack are the ways in.  It is actively cultivated by the tribe.

Sandy and I parked at the rim above Havasu and backpacked in. There are three major waterfalls in the canyon -- Havasu, Moody and Beaver with the first two being the most picturesque. The dissolved carbonate precipitates out to form spectacular cave formations in the river especially below the waterfalls.

We did not try to climb this ladder.  I think it went to a cave where provisions were stored to be in a cool place.  I think the ladder would  be safe but didn't want to try it.
